We decided that the easiest way to do the ID part of the provisional licence form was to have my passport, BUT it expired last summer.

I've jsut filled the form in for my new passport, so when that gets back we can apply for my P.L. saving the faff of having to find someone else that's not related to me that i've known for three years and has a particular job etc etc who then has to fill a load of forms in etc etc . . .

I would assume the fact you had a passport should be enough ID. You only need it to prove who you are. You aren't going abroad are you?
no question molly ? just an update for us ?

But it's expired and the photo was taken several years ago and doesn't really look like me anymore . . .
*sigh*

do you have to have a question on CB?
I'm not being horrible here but....why? Why do you feel the need to tell us such pointless information? I could understand it a little if you'd sent off for your provisional...but you haven't.

Do you use AB as your personal diary?
Can I "sigh" too.................

I've seen more pointless drivel on CB before and it isn't as if I write a personal blog every day about everything i've done . . .

Ok a question; how long should/could it take for my passport to come back, adn then after that to get the forms and provisional licence sorted?
Is this not Twitter then?
you have a fair point molly, " ive seen more pointless drivel in CB "
You might have seen more drivel....but what are we going to have to read when you actually get the license?

It's not like we can chat away about this subject...or come up with any witty remarks to make this thread worthwhile..

It's just completely pointless...

At this time of year when lots of people are applying for passports, it could take a while - mine took six weeks.
