SET THE SCENE; you're talking to someone on MSN, you're in a relationship (only been for a couple of days, after a few weeks of being single).

THE AWKWARD BIT; they tell you that they 'like' you (they don't know you're in a relationship).

QUESTION TO ABERS; What do you do? A) tell them to F off B) explain you're in a relationship and you only want to be friends C) kinda pretend you're still single but don't actually say things that are that lovely dovey D) Ditch you're girlfriend and go with this other person E) something else.

c is what a lot of men at that age would do......no job for them in diplomatic circles, thank god......

Maybe they didn't want to upset the person and din't know how to say it, although they had plenty of opportunities.

BUT when the two people saw each other today, the single one said to the other 'i thought you were single . . .' to which the other person said 'I *was*' (in a nice way), smiled as if nothing happened and went to their lesson.

BUT the person only changed their relationship status on facebook a couple of hours before the conversation (just looked) so we're not even sure how long they had been going out for . . .
hmmm he sounds like a dirty rotten cwit-tease!
relationships dont mean a lot in school/college, its too young an age to get bogged down in heavy commitment

BREAKING NEWS; he might not have been going out with that other person, i read the time wrong on the update and it was jsut after the convo, but he might have forgotten to updated until it happened.
that's even worse!! So after the unmentioned female made a pass, and he didn't rebuff it, he went and changed his status!? Someone needs to have a word with this wannabe lothario!
Question Author
I don't think that makes it worse at all, and saves the person some awkwardness . . .
This is daft. You are not 'in a relationship' with nayone on MSN. You do not even know who they are. Relationships are with real people in real time.

What are you on about mosaic, this about what the guy said and his relationship status at the time on facebook, all three people involved know each other in real life and see each other most days . . . which made it slightly awkward the next day for them . . .
well if lil miss rebuffed got her hopes up because chappy didn't have the pips to tell her from the start that he was, at least about to be, in a relationship, and then only found out on fb, I'd feel sorry for her!

At least some people have a heart pa__ul . . .
