I've just bought a very old computer and the bios is password protected. I have no way of finding out what it is. Is it possible to get around the password somehow?

Thank you.

If there is an on-board battery and you can get to it, take it out and leave it for an hour or two. It might work.

Thank you wideboy, I'll give it a go!
If wideboy's suggestion doesn't work, then there should be a set of jumper pins on the motherboard that resets the password. You'll need to download the manual and find out which one it is, but all you'll need to do is move a little black plastic thing from one pair of pins to another.I've explained it really badly, but it's really simple!

That got rid of it! Thank you again.

Sorry, Ralph, your answer came through at the same time as mine! Wideboy's method did work. Thank you for your suggestion though. I'll make a note for the future.
