I get pizzed with these sort of folk and this one really has irritated me this afternoon.

FYI Comerton45 - classic example of:

(i) someone so inept that they can't turn to their search question to answer a simple geography question (and she did this yesterday......

(ii) and so rude as they never say thank you - the evidence is there - since joining nigh on two years, stats: 86 questions asked, 3 replies.

Don't such folk get up your left nostril?

I do find this somewhat rude as i always aim to say thank you when answers are given to me

Like me - suezy......it is a basic courtesy
I always say thankyou when people are good enough to help it is only common courtesy
puzzleking is another, though im pretty certain he/she works for one of the text question sites and he/she has come under many other names before

I'll pick up on this later - am off on out to grab some pasta and red wine - and then go and watch the King's Stammer.

I hope that Comerton reads this thread at some point and maybe she will be a little more appreciative of assistance that is rendered to her. Most quizzes usually have some form of pecuniary reward in cash or products/services, so some recognition of gratitude should be even more 'obligatory.'
I agree DT,
A little thankyou, should never hurt anyone. There are a few who ask questions, especially on a Sunday, who NEVER acknowledge help given to them. They are more concerned to get their entries in before the closing date.
Slightly more annoying when you factor in comerton45 (and alter ego Sinnamon30) having received repeated remonstrations for the lack of aknowledgements etc.along with posting in the wrong Topic section.

Indeed there are a number who find the words 'please' and 'thank you' hard to express: namely drchris, cdwrover123, comerton45, Sinnamon30, puzzleking123. But the biggest failure of the lot (100 questions and 0 answers) must be

Aside from anything else, there's a Quizzes & Puzzles board on AB. The posts should go there.
sorry if i have upset you
Absolutely agree DT

sir.prize I've often wondered if cdwrover, drchris and puzzleking are the same person, they all seem to ask random questions from text questions sites. i find this even more annoying if we're helping them earn a wage too!
Puzzleking, that is very brave of you to apologise - not to be too "devil's advocate" but, maybe people are just shy and don't want to get too chatty or (like me) can only come onto ab very rarely, join in for a few hours and then disappear again!
Although, as my mother always says...."manners cost nothing"!
just dont answer !
