Does anyone know....if you have an unopened bottle of Brandy or Whiskey...nothing special...lets say something like Famous Grouse....but it was bought in 1986....will it improve with age or would it be undrinkable???? Thanks in advance!

Spirits improve in the cask, not in the bottle. A 1986 bottle will be pretty much the same now as it was when bottled (unless it's almost empty) so it will be fine.
..and if you don't want it - I can cover postage costs ;-)
I remember a radio programme some years ago where a panel tasted the same brand of whisky from a bottle that had been bought 10 years earlier, and a bottle that had been bought that week. The purpose of the tasting was that the programme's presenter wanted to demonstrate that whisky does actually improve in the bottle, despite what the distillers will tell you All members of the panel agreed that the 10 year old whisky tasted better. Perhaps this needs further investigation!! ;-)
...or perhaps production standards had fallen in the 10 years?
It'll be useless now ... I will give you my address for safe disposal of what is almost certainly a toxic poison by now.

lol, joking ... get it down yer neck.
