My printer is printing but its not printing well at all. On some of line the top half is showing and the rest is missing and some lines are missing altogether.

Is there anything I can do as I need to print off some letters urgently. Both colour and black cartridges are full so its not that.

I don't do much colour printing so I bought an Epson D92 about 1 year ago. Cost £30 from John Lewis. It is slow but has always been reliable. Up to now I have been using Epson ink but now the warranty is gone I am going to investigate cheaper alternatives.
Hi, had my HP for 8 years when it gave up lines all over the place and colours not right. Just bought a Kodak quite cheap off Amazon and the good thing is the cartridges are not expensive. It seems to print well too.

I get my cartridges from Cartridge Monkey, pretty cheap and free delivery.

Looks like I will have to get a new one Heathfield.
Canon printers, unlike HP, have a separate printhead from the cartridge; so changing the cartridge will not overcome blocked nozzles.

There are cleaning kits available (on t'internet) that supply a solvent and a syringe to allow cleaning of the heads - they cost aboyr £8 £10.

So it's your choice - clean the heads or replace the printer.
