I am attempting to paste a diagram into InDesign from Word but when it's pasted into an InDesign document it is very blurred and the quality is pretty bad. Any ideas?

Export it from word as pdf if you can, then import that into indesign.

NEVER copy and paste a picture from Word, I think it keeps them in a special format. Always keep the original picture as a jpg or bmp etc. file
