18th Birthday suggestions please

My Daughter turns 18 early March and we thought we had a great present lined up, A zoo Keeper for a day at London Zoo. After her brother discretely suggested this to her she wasn't the least bit interested. So has anyone any ideas that might appeal that either includes the family or something she might do on her own. We thought about all going away either abroad or UK for a long weekend but may have left it too late to book now.

Driving lessons 'zz'......would £300 be enough, after all she is female.......ouch....ouch....ouch !!!!!

jd is right £300 would not be enough. I spent over £400 on them, and that was over 20 years ago, so not enough at all. I suggest that we hold a special AB 18th birthday party, and we can all bring some food with us. I would bring some biscuits and some wine for her.

Hi our eldest got a laptop for her 18th, hubby's idea, I did remind him more than once that we would have to spend the same amount on the others and he really didn't think it through as we have two sets of twins after her. One got £400 for driving lessons, another got the same towards a car, another got the same amount towards a holiday (not looking forward to that one, when he goes) and one got a laptop. It's a lot of money but they never really got expensive christmas or birthday presents so this was the big one. Just as well as in one year hubby and me turned 40, eldest was 21, next two were 18 and the other 2 were 16. What timing eh! I'm sure whatever you get her she will love it.
