My Daughter turns 18 early March and we thought we had a great present lined up, A zoo Keeper for a day at London Zoo. After her brother discretely suggested this to her she wasn't the least bit interested. So has anyone any ideas that might appeal that either includes the family or something she might do on her own. We thought about all going away either abroad or UK for a long weekend but may have left it too late to book now.

Can't you ask her what she want, or is that not an option?
Is she into theatre or musicals or anything? My mum was going to book one of those theatre trips to London for my 18th but it ended up not happening :( We went to see we will rock you in Edinburgh instead lol.. closer to home! :)

Thanks to your replies, We'd like to surprise her if possible. Plus her boyfriend has booked the musical Grease for them to go see.
All go out to a nice restaurant for a slap up meal (include her boyfriend or best friend) while there oresent her with a big? cheque so she can do what SHE wants.
perhaps at 18 she doesn't want to go away with all the family. Did you think of that?
Its her birthday.

She is pretty family orientated but thats an Idea Jem
how much do you want to spend?
Question Author
around £300
Question Author
on Her alone
Have you asked her to write a list of things she might like - £300 is a lot to spend on a mistake.
Question Author
Her bro asked her and she couldnt really think of anything. This is the dilemma as she isn't really materialistic
You could get her one of the new style charm bracelets and everyone in the family could get a personal charm for her (there are lots to choose from). Although that might be a lot to spend on a bracelet.
a makeover followed by a photo shoot

going to a recording studio

what is she into?
Give her the money. My daughter's 18 and she'd opt for the money. Just give it on the condition that she spends it on herself.

hmmm, what is she into, animals, thats why we thought our original suggestion was a good one. Bracelet idea would have been great but her godmothers have been doing that on every birthday
Would you feel comfortable booking her and BF a swish hotel for the night they go to see Grease? You could book them dinner too if there was money left.

Thats an Idea, No worries on the B/F front, shes 18 and officially an adult. Nice suggestion thanks
well maybe she'd like the same as me, i like animals too, considered the zoo thing myself but it seemed to be all mucking out you were paying to do lol

ow what about a pleasure flight over london in a small plane, I won a voucher once for red letter days it was for a hotel stay, but with red letter days they let you swap and chose what you want, so you could chose the VIP flight over london but if she doesn't like it she can go indoor skydiving, be an owl handler for a day or trek with lama's?

The flight was one of those things I will never forget it was great,
