Where is Answerbanks advanced search feature?

Can I filter my searches by date to find questions asked in last day, week, month
etc? It's quite frustating to see questions which are a few years out of date.

I can't find the advanced search button... Is this something that Answerbank has
forgotten to add?

Thanks

What questions do you have which are out of date when you have joined AB today and only asked one question.?

The answer is... we don't have one, yet. It is something much discussed at AB towers.

AB won't be having an upgrade for a little while sadly - but it is on the list when we do.

Thanks AB Editor. Will look forward to that. To others: The ability to do an advanced
search filtered by date is an important tool when you want helpful answers or suggestions to current problems... a similar question answered a few years ago may
no longer be relevant or even useful to solve a problem today! That's why I asked the
question.
We aren't that advanced here on AB, lennoxtown.
I find the Search facility to be really good. It lists the search results in date order starting with the most recent so I'm not sure what the problem is for you.
I've never tried it, but does the AB search support Boolean searching?
It's just a very simple search facility- key in the words Andy Gray, for example, and you'll get all teh revant questions
Just tried it, and it seems it does support at least basic boolean searches.
Please forgive my ignorance on technical matters.

I would have thought that, if one thinks a search on AB is producing out of date answers, then it is a simple matter to re-ask the question to members for up-to-date comments.

Ron.
I repeat ... Were you looking for something particular?
Question Author
NazNomad, thanks but I wasn't looking for any particular answers.

My original question seems to be falling on deaf ears with others though, so let me again clarify... The value in these type of sites is in the questions already resolved in the past for others, (the Nations collective wisdom, if you like!) but AB needs to have an advanced search facility to allow us to serve up ONLY the answers resolved in a certain timeframe. Without this you would have to wade through pages, and pages of results! Check out how Yahoo does it here: http://uk.answers.yah...h5X5Zgf3IlQ;_ylv=3?p=

Anyway, the AB editor says it is on the agenda for AB's next upgrade and that's good because the ability to 'Power Search' saves everyone time.. It''s not rocket science!
Sorry lennox but you have completely confused me. You say that you are not looking for any particular answers but you appear to be bothered by the fact that you can't easily find what you would wish to see and as a new member you would wish AB to meet your immediate requirements.

Ron.
