I recently when to Colchester with my girlfriend of 8 months from Bournemouth to watch the football on a friday night. However after me drinking around 7 beers and a long train journey we managed to get into an argument once inside the ground resulting in me pushing her and apparently seen punching her in the ribs once or twice. This is the second time that this sort of thing has happend but the last time she didnt give a statement of any sort and nothing was done. However as she is only just coming up 17 and i am 21 she has been told by the police that she had to give a statement with her parents a witness to the statement. I was realeased on bail after being kept in Colchester for around 14 hours and on my charge sheet it says that i am having to attend court for a section 39 - assult by beating. I do have a little bit of a past but only 1 or 2 drunken disorderly fines but nothing else. What us likely to happen?

Hard to say.

Hopefully they will put you on an alcohol awareness course..

If you did that to my 17 year old daughter you'd be more worried about what I would do to you...
