Freeview HD Reception

Our Panasonic full HD TV auto-tunes to all the standard DVB logical channel numbers ok from Sutton Coldfield transmitter, but not the HD channels BBC One HD (LCN 50?) etc.
Is this because the signal will not “get to us” until switchover (even though the post code check indicates we should get it now)?
Is there anything we can do to change this situation before switchover?
Also, newspaper programme listings indicate HD broadcasts on some programmes (and not others) for BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 & CHAN4. Does that mean we can (and are) receiving the relevant HD programme broadcasts on LCNs 1, 2, 3 & 4, though the quality difference is unnoticeable?

Sorry for asking the obvious, but it has definitely got a HD freeview receiver built in and not just a standard one (like the majority of TVs)?
same happened to a friend of mine ended up changing tv for a sony
the HD channels are separate from the regular channels so no, you're not watching BBC1HD on channel 1, but it may be upscaled via your tv.

HD broadcasts are not supposed to be in my area until April, but I get the 4 "basic" HD channels.
Full HD means your TV has a resolution of 1080P. As Chuck says it does mean your TV has a HD tuner.

To receive HD channels you will need either a new TV with a HD tuner or a HD Freeview box of HD Freeview PVR.
Sorry, first paragraph should say ".....does NOT have........"
