I suppose they could have just wasted it on the homeless instead? (tic)
I'd like to agree but its work and income for some.
I thought they were great :-)
pmsl I knew someone on here would whinge about the cost..........I thought they were brilliant.
the prices seem to have dropped.

Nice to see them but between 10 and now is ridiculous.
errrrr - and they moan about passive smoking !
My cat loved them as well and is now sitting at the window watching the local ones...
So does my dog ummmm..........(he's a bit weird)
Like his owner :-)
it lasted 10 mins!! and its once a year! stop being so miserable!

the fireworks were lovely!!

happy 2011 all ! :)
Fantastic show, I loved it.
oops sorry thought you meant the local loonies not the council ones :D
yes, it was a brilliant display!! spectacular!!

(i wouldve preffred them without the added music though)
Well!.....apparently.!........for every 1million pounds spent on fireworks, 7million pounds are retrieved in tourism and local trade.........seems a good deal.
The tourists in London last night will spread the word that it's a great place and everyone had a fun time seeing in the New Year. They will be back with a few extra friends next year hopefully.
