I have been think for long time now and have decided that with space travel nearly in our grasp they will be needing more astronauts to fly all of the commercial ships and I would like to be one so how?

First you'd need to join the R.A.F.
physics, maths, advanced maths A level and throw in chemistry for good measure.

A+ needed in all of them

RAF (but a Uni nscholarship should be possible off those grades)

And they need to sponsor you to NASA or the European programmes. Failing this, flying 747s should be a doddle.

I don't think my mother would like that as my father he is in the army when younger and she hated it and he got the shrapnel in his head
Hmmm ... head shrapnel. Not hereditary, is it?
more chance as a monkey
lol lol lol .....hahaha
Question Author
No Not in his hereditary in his head!
"hated it when he got shrapnel in his hair"!?

Wasn't she worried about that fact that she could have lost her husband?
* "head"
Awww, i liked you when I thought you were serious with your daft questions, kinda takes the fun out of taking the pee if you in turn are doing it back to us.

:-(
I'm not surprised she was worried, far worse in the head than in the hereditary
I agree with B00, the novelty is wearing off rather quickly .

Try cleverly duping security at NASA.
I suspect that would be one bridge too far.
'Duping security at NASA' would perhaps be the limit in this case.
well NASA does "need another seven astronuts" so our Derek may find himself on the ijiots list.
Only if the list was very very long.
I have a very close family member who applied to be an astronaut, he got a degree in Physics, and then Astrophysics first. Have you looked into this? Good luck, it ain't gonna be easy.
