I hope you can help me. My sister in law has just given birth again. She now has a baby and a two year old (!) I want to get the family a gift for Christmas that they can all enjoy together. Maybe a game... Not sure. Any ideas? Thanks

i think probably that at two the toddler is too young to play board games, not understanding the concept of taking turns ect,  if the gift is for the parents and the babies i suggest a family portrait,  that will be treasured for years to come,   other ideas.....

you could buy the babies a small toy/teddy each and offer mum and dad 6 months baby sitting,  i think that would be really appreciated

you could make them a special book recording all their baby memorie with photos, lock of hair, hand and footprints, milestones etc.

I bought my sister in law a 5 year diary when she gave birth to her first child 4 years ago, and she now has two children.

It is a page a day, and has five small entries on each daily for each year.

She has written the diary every day and loves looking back at what they were doing in the previous years.

It is a lovely momento for her and her family.

Any family with two children under two is going to have a stressful time over the next few years.

I would suggest making a number of  "I promise to baby sit" vouchers so the parents can have some days or evenings out on their own.

Also mothers tend to get forgotten in all this and feel unattractive and unwanted. How about some vouchers for a massage or pedicure, or a trip to the hairdressers, something to make her feel good.

I would recommend a leap pad (interactive teaching), it's fab and you can get them for different age groups. It's educational, something mum can do with the lil one's. My daughter has one and i find that she learns far easier from the leap pad rather than me teaching her. The great thing about it is that as the child gets older the parents can buy more books for teaching ABC, reading, colours and other activities. You'll find it at early learning centre.

Thanks very much for all your helpful answers. I think a 5 year diary or a leap pad is a great idea. Babysitting, unfortunately, is out of the question, as they live in London and we live in Scotland. I'm off on a shopping trip now! Thanks again!
