try to pee you off constantly... me and OH have been together for 5 years and he finally proposed last month so I am well excited, have set the date for August 2012, which is 19 months away.. I have started planning already as I want to book the "best" suppliers I can get hold of so if it means booking them now I will do... so why oh why do some people, especially family and friends keep saying to me " you still have 2 years to go yet, theres plenty of time"... this is OUR special day, I want it to be just amazing and if it means me starting to plan now then why the hell shouldnt I without this constant whining in my ear. AND its not 2 years, its 19 months... there is a difference!!!

I would just suggest swapping some dancy tunes in so it's an hour on, hour off. It was fun don't get me wrong, but a little variety means that people who don't "get it" can dance too. It can get a little same-y.
enjoy your wedding plans, but just take care not to make the wedding top priority over every thing else, especially the groom to be, because believe me he will get so fed up with it he will wish he hadn't mentioned getting married in the first place. Make him more important than the wedding day. I got married on a shoe string and made do with what we could afford. we have been married 50 yrs and he still comes no1 and so do I with him. Its not the fancy wedding that counts its both of you for a life time together so watch you don't lose him.
Kendra, that's what I was trying to say - you are so much more diplomatic that I was :)

HI Kendra, there is no way I'm going to lose him. WE have been together for 5 years, which is quite a period in these days of "easy" divorces. We have been through some rough times and come out the other end together and stronger.

We have actually decided that in the new year, once a month we are going to have a "date night" and go to the cinema, go for a meal etc etc so we have time for just us together which will be absolutely lovely and no mention of the wedding either.... lol.
My dear Kat, you must be a young one. People change with time...

Oh bless you Society, Im 42! I have 3 grown up children... I wish I were young again lol.
Well it's your day and you organise in your own time. I hope it is everything you wish for.

I planned my first wedding (a big church do) in 6 weeks. I simply didn't have time before because I was busy at work and college. Eventually my mum said "don't you think you ought to do something about it......" We didn't have car or venue issues though because the church was walkable and the reception was at home.

My next one will probably be a registry office arranged in 2 weeks!!!
when I get married it will be very very stingy and low key, guests will be forced to play a round of council golf before being allowed home
lol cazzzzz
