Against my better judgement I have been roped into singing on my step daughter's "Band Hero" tonight. (Although was amazed to get 95% singing Warwick Avenue).

Two songs have come up

American Pie where the word "whisky" is missed out which is kind of intrinsic to the song.

and

Kidz (Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue) which goes "Me no bubbilicious, me smoke heavy tar" and the word "smoke" is not sung.

Now I know this is aimed at kids, but that is just simply ridiculous.

(Still pleased with 95% though!!!)

American Pie survives fine without mention of whisky. Did it really truly spoil your evening, or do you just think it should have?
If the censorship is getting THAT strong, I wonder if Lindisfarne's 'Fog on the Tyne' would ever make it to the selection of songs available. After all, when I was a kid I thought that "We can swing together, we can have a wee wee, we can have a wet on the wall" was really rude ;-)
I don't really care about Kylie and Robbie, but you can't mess about with American Pie! Sacrilege!
if it's okay for Madonna it's okay for Barmaid

lol, it didn't spoil my evening (the alternative was drafting a defence, which I now have to do at 4am) but I did think it was slightly ridiculous.

I am guessing the FH's "Metallica Guitar Hero selection" is going to be a whole load of blanks (I haven't let him play it yet!!!!)
