I used to think that it was a bit of a myth that Geordies don't own coats but this video, apparently taken in Newcastle last week, seems to prove otherwise ;-)

get yourself to the Bigg Market any night it will really open your eyes(ask Bobbi)

Whenever I see a Newcastle match on TV, there's always some big guys in the stands with no shorts on - whatever the weather.
It is true that up here minimal clothing is worn when on the hoy, despite the weather, but only by the young or some older women looking to be pulled on grab-a-granny night. Some of us, however, have learned to grow old gracefully and wrap up warm.

I think you mean shirts!!!
Oh crikey, they're going to love me when I rock up there on Thursday in thermals, thick woolies and about 15 layers (am even considering packing a sleeping bag in the car).

Barmaid if you come dressed like that they wont let you in!! Whats the occasion?
Oops. Yes.

The I and O are next to each other on the keyboard.

What a horrible thought.
Court case. But I know the weather is meant to be bad on Thursday and I absolutely have to get back to go to London on Friday.

... er, no!
Funnily enough, in broad Geordie slang 'shirt' is pronounced 'short'.
