If you saw the care and concern with producing top quality beef, you'd wonder just how it's produced for the price it's sold at - don't forget the outlets add on some too....and that sold at sourceis very good value
Setting aside the ethical issues of buying only free range meat I beleive that it is worth buying 'premium' meat'.

I have a 100% success rate with the meat I buy from my butcher compared to Waitrose. I am reasonably happy to buy chicken from Waitrose that is going into a curry or tagine but I will never buy mince or roasting joints from supermarkets because they simply do not deliver on quality. This is quite a damning statement given that Waitrose is considered to be a high-end supermarket but it is definitely my experience.
I'm mostly impressed with the care and concern you took to make your question look so intruiging McM!!!!
