You went down a similar route .. Ummmm I take it.
Yes Ummm true...

Hopefully their circumstances - both financial and otherwise mean they can give her the support she clearly needs.

My husbands family background was awful - so I understand that Megyog feels she has to escape.. I just hope that she is mature enough to understand the seriousness of her decision and she isnt just a teenager out for attention... She doesnt sound like she is though!

i wish her luck!
Yes...I left at 13. Not because of my Mum but because of her boyfriend. My Dad couldn't look after me because he worked away so much. I went to live with my Grand parents. Dad paid my board and sent me my school money every week. It turned out to be the best decision I ever made. I only have happy memories from the period of my life.
^And learned how to pull a decent pint.......;o)
lol...I spent a lot of time with them anyway so learnt how to pull a decent pint when I was about 6. Grandad had me working by 14. I use to sit behind the bar doing my homework :-)
Ummm your story goes to prove that it can work.
I've got a nice family. My Dad was brilliant...

They all hated my Mums boyfriend as well.
Ummm - how long was the boyfriend on the scene for??? After you left home??
After I left...about 5 years I think. That's after he tried to kill her...
WOAH!!!!!!! Jees...

So I would surmise your gut feelings to hate the man were right then!!!

And hey say love is blind huh!!!
He was a horrible bully but he was nice to her. He started to lose the plot when the relationship was coming to an end.
