Can't think of any reason why it would be anagrams. What letters do you actually have?

It was in yesterday's paper, and the answer is in today's, but I can't make sense of it.
How annoying. I hate it when they do that. You feel as if you had no chance of completing the crossword because they either made a mistake or the answer was so obscure only the setter understood it.
(stuck one)= (s neck out)
Blimey that's obscure. I would never have got that.
Got it. Stuck one's neck out - split in two -stuck one.....s neck out = anagrams of each other.Never would have got it without the answer!

Thanks for enlightening me, Georgia05 - it now makes sense!
