Rose & Maloney - 19.9.05

How did this episode end? I fell asleep fo the last 15 minutes or so!!

Well sleepyhead, Maloney had a night of passion with the merry widow next door, who then dumped him when she decided to move on!  It was also discovered that the chap who had been a suspect earlier but who was in prison so therefore had an alibi, was in fact missing for several days after failing to return to the prison after a home visit to his sick mum, turns out he did the murder because the doctor had once saw him as a patient in prison and he -the prisoner- took a dislike to him!!  When Rose & Maloney confronted the doctor with this info, he - the doctor - then admitted that the girl - sorry forget her name - had been telling the truth about her affair with him and he had denied it because he did'nt want any bad publicity.......so the bad guy went to jail, the innocent little lady was last seen sitting in the park with her dad and the doctor, well I suppose he just continued to be a bit of a prat!!

Its a miracle you kept awake that long! This was my first viewing of this pair, and will be my last. What a poor script, a few meaningful glances here and there, and the scene where they were trying to cover for each other was cringe making. No boss would have sat silent with that play acting going on. The merry widow stuff was just padding out a lamentable script. What is Phil Davis doing in dross like that?
