traditional mix of mostly family stuff with one or two new ones every year. I don't do themed for christmas at all

My sister had all the family ones...the fine glass 1950s and 1960s ones including the birds with the fibre glass tails
M and S have got soem lovely traditional glass ornaments this year...just like the ones I remember from childhood
I always use just red lights (no comments please!!) and red baubles. Looks nice but think I may try something new this year. I loved all the old fashioned lights and decs from my childhood in the 50s.
red and gold. Also we have the occasional toy soldier hiding, just something from when my sons were much younger.

I quite like some of the homebase ones this year....includinfg one with christmas 2010 on it...as it is my firsy christmas with Redman I might get one and hide it on the tree somewhere... but for me it is white lights I have soft white and bright white depending on whether it is a cool or warm toned theme... I think I am going to do silk poinsettias this year with tartan ribbon but this could change...
