The freezer compartment of my fridge/freezer does not freeze food properly during cold months apparently due to the room it is in being too cold. It is not practical or economical to heat the room or move the fridge/freezer to another room. Some years ago on BBC Watchdog this problem was highlighted and a they suggested using a device which the fridge/freezer plugs into and overcome this problem. I have not been able to find one and my question to Watchdog was unanswered. Can anyone help?

Thanks Woofgang; that's a start at least and the only info I have ever seen on the subject. I will probablyl replace the fridge/freezer and use the advice given when purchasing new.
