I've received help from you guys about restoring my system after it kept starting with huge icons. I got it back to normal, but when I opened it up this morning, the same thing happened, which I then resolved.
Would it be alright to keep it in hibernation overnight, (all the time), to stop this happening every morning? Thanks.

Hi,
If you go to Control panel,Display option,Settings option,Advanced option,General option,DPI settings and select 96. This gives a nice size icon or you can select customize and choose your own size. When finished accept and OK. You can switch your computer off without this problem happening again.
