Has anyone got a fairly simple basic curry recipe using curry powder. Its for a friend who has never tried it. My recipes are all experimental, but i have all the spices etc and tend to use whatever i have got in the fridge so it would probably confuse her. Thanks in advance. Giveup

heat oil in pan with onion and garlic, then add your spices.....then add your meat (oo-er) and 'et voila'....simple curry
As above but i'd probably add a small pot of greek yoghurt to the meat and a bit of sugar to sweaten if desired.
hi I like this really easy thai curry recipe
Tesco Thai green curry paste
2 peppers
2 onions
tin coconut milk
chicken pieces [cooked]
in wok cook onion, peppers in oil
add cooked chicken,thai paste,coconut milk
cook about 15-20mins
serve with rice
not too hot but lovely and spicy
I'd ditch the curry powder and use paste (eg Patak's) - much better results and paste keeps it's "oomph" much longer than any powder. There's a simple recipe on the jar to get you started.
