king prawn korma or prawn sag recipe

wanting to make these curries but dont have garam masala which seems to feature in lots of recipes. i do have patak korma paste in a jar, not sure what the basic curry sauce is for the sag= spinach curry. any more easy indian food recipes welcome. cooking for 9 and now im starting to panic as sure it wont turn out very authentic!

BBC god food website has some very easy recipes - chicken biryiani is very good and you could use prawns instead - just add them later than the chicken. Just cook some spinach in butter, puree it and stir in if you are wanting to us spinach
For a Prawn Saag -

Fry some sliced onion, add some sliced red peppers and cook, add garlic and ginger and fry 2 mins.

Add spices - ground corainder, ground cumin and a little tumeric. Cook 2 mins

Add splash of lemon juice, some prawns and a handful of spinach leaves, washed and de-stemmed. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Cook for a further 4 or 5 mins to wilt the spinach and to cook the prawns thrpugh, mixing the whole dish a few times to cover the veg aith the spices.

Serve over a nice basmati rice.

Isn't Garam Masala another term for Curry Powder...I have the Madhur Jaffrey cookbook and find that really good...
