Buy a set of 'Easy out' . they are in different sizes and have a thread that goes the 'wrong' way. You then select one smaller than your bolt. drill a hole into the bolt, then screw the easy out into the hole, remembering to turn it the 'wrong' way, use the correct sized spanner and keep turning, the bolt will then be unscrewed. Obviously, replace with a new bolt when you have done whatever job you were doing. Good luck!

You're welcome. :-)

only problem i have with that 'easyout' is access, the bolt is on the exhaust manifold at the front of the engine so cars frame is in the way :-(
Is this a through bolt ie has it got a nut on the other end of the bolt.. if so hacksaw straight across the head of the bolt and it will fall apart.. if your limited for space use a pad saw..
Question Author
I cant get to the other end of the bolt it just goes straight into a threaded hole.
Is this a mechanical or a sexual question?
If its possible, get a metal drill & drill several hols into the bolt head, enough for you to snap the bolt, other than that do you know someone with Oxy Acetylene gun that can burn it off?
If it is possible to get a dia grinder in and take the nuts "head off" u should be able to them carefully remove the manifold. If that works be VERY carefully in removing the rest of the threaded bar. If you snap it then you will more thank likly have to take the cylinder head off. Alternitly as TWR says try and heat it up then put another socket on. If you can "grind 2 or more straight edges on it try using an imperial socket e.g 13mm = 1/2 Inch most imperial sockets are very minutely smaller. you might get enough levearge on it. Good luck
