Nokia 5800 - deleting voicemail messages. Can anyone help?

How do I delete the voice messages I have, it says to press 3 but I can't get the keyboard on the screen to press the number.
Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

When you are connected to voicemail, look at the screen (bottom right hand corner), it should say dialler, try pressing that to bring up dialling pad.
