Not mine, my son's! I have used Odor Eater spray but this only seems to last a little while. Can't use insoles because it makes his boots too tight. Is there anything else I can to to get rid of the smell? TIA

NIKE MERCURIAL.....
i mentioned to a store and they was aware of the problem and some people had returned theirs.
his new 1's seem ok though.
if you buy some more ask for the new design and mention the problem and the sales assistant should know what you're after and not after.

stuff with kitchen roll, leave outside if possible. put talc in before he uses them.
sprinkle bicarb in then leave overnight and clean out well hold nose while doing this or fill nose with Vick
I have tried to solve this problem for many years, with no success. My son's boots smell like a cat as pee'd on them.
rowan. wont vick be annoyed . lol
When a boy I found washing my feet helped.
are they NIKE by any chance???

this was a serious issue as we complained to the store and NIKE released more with a different material compound mixture, my sons smelled of cats wee and now we got him the new ones they seem ok.
Bicarb of soda.
Smelly Football Boots =Smelly Feet
smelly feet = dirty feet
Tell him to wash his feet more often, he probably takes a bath once a Year knowing what youngsters are like !!
Smelly football boots are usually down to the fact that when they are used in very wet weather the boots become very damp and when they are drying out afterwards they smell foisty
I put my sons boots in the washing machine every so often and stuff newspaper in them while they dry this help for a couple of weeks! I aways leave them out in the porch coz they smell so disgusting - his shinpads dont smell much better either :)

Just to let SOME of you know....my son is very clean, so dirty feet are NOT the problem.
Den, his smell like cat pee too! Wilkes, yes they are Nike. Bought them at Sports World in the sale. Will try taking them back but would I be better off contacting Nike?

Thanks wilkes. They are Nike Mecurial, I bought them from Sportsdirect. Will try and return them but I have had problems with this store in the past when I have wanted to return something!
My son has played footie for the past 8-10yrs or so and no matter what make of boots we buy him - Nike, Adidas, Umbro etc - man made material or leather .... they all stink after awhile!
yelenots i've played football for over 20 years and therefore know what is common smell and what isn't normal.
football trainers/boots don't smell like cats wee....

take them back and you don't need a receipt as goods are faulty and not satisfactory, but this is only as long as you've returned within a reasonable timescale (but law doesn;'t state what reasonable is)
Joe Luke, you probably mean FROWSTY, not foisty
