Resource - When it is used about people, usualy a workforce.

I was once asked if I could spare a "resource" for training. and I have hated it in this context ever since.

In time it'll be like "The quick and the dead" - we've mostly forgotten that quick used to mean living.

people believe when they use this word that they are exemplifying education and diction, the likes of which samuel johnson would be most proud.
Whenever anyone says to me "...at the end of the day...", I always try to nip in with "It gets dark", before they have a chance to complete their sentence. Maybe I'm just rude!
