Can text messages be traced to where they were sent from ? My husband has sent texts using a different number. And can text messages be used in court ?

Phone provider records can be used, yes.
If the mobile can be proved as being in posession by an owner at a certain time, then I suppose records/texts/can can be used, yes.
The idea of anyone not wishing to be caught is to use a PAYG phone bought for by cash on a market, and chuck it afterwards.
