When I had to have my cat put down, I was very pleased at the service I had received at the vets. I got them a card to say thank you and a box of Thorntons chocolates. Left them out on the Monday morning and asked my FH to deliver them (just round the corner). 6 months later, I have just found said card and chocolates in the cupboard. Oh well, so that's Thorntons for me then!!!!!! But aren't men terrible?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well yours is, Barmaid. He's definitely not keeping up the standards which the rest of us guys try to maintain. He should have known to have got rid of the card (possibly by actually delivering it!) and then carefully hide the choccies for a few months so that he could surprise you with them as a gift. That's what any REAL fella would have done ;-)
lol, it is a cupboard I never venture in (and well he knows it) because it is above the microwave, in a corner and I can't actually reach it. Dont even know what prompted me to open it but I happened to have a chair in the kitchen so I stood on it just to see - I found last year's Christmas cake which he insisted I buy, the chocolates and card and nothing else!!!
Hmmm! the times I've asked my H to post a letter, the box is in the next street & to get out to the main road he has to pass it. & the times I've phoned birthday person "Did you get my card?" found it in the glove compartment days later.
Its a good job all our bills are paid DD or we would have had the bailiffs calling by now.
