A case for Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.

Our veritable sleuth and his companion are camping out on the moors one night during an investigation into a particularly puzzling case. Following a long day, Dr. Watson is snoring soundly in his sleeping bag. However, Holmes is lying on his back wide awake while his sharp and alert mind contemplates the view overhead.

After a while, Holmes prods Watson and shakes him awake.
"Wh..wh..what is it Holmes?" says Watson struggling to shake the sleep from his eyes.
"Look overhead Watson and tell me what you see" says Holmes.
"Well, there's no moon and I see a beautiful canopy of stars" says Watson, "shining brilliantly like jewels cast upon a black velvet spread".
"And what can you deduce from that fabulous view Watson?" says Holmes.
Watson thinks for a while then replies "Well, it's a cloudless night and the weather's fine. That means we'll have no rain and we'll stay dry tonight Holmes!"
"No, no" says Holmes wagging a bony finger at the sky. "Once again Watson, you see but you do not observe. Again, you fail to arrive at the correct deduction based upon the most elementary of evidence presented to you".

"No, what all those stars shimmering brilliantly in the firmament actually mean my good Doctor Watson......" said Holmes sitting up sharply and looking around,

"......is that some b4stard's nicked our tent !
