On the news today. BBC. They said the govt. is banning businesses from sending unsolicited emails and phone texts. Was I dreaming or anyone else hear this report?

I haven't heard anything about this but if you really want a laugh take a look at http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/archive/20470
.html
and there you will find what one of our MEPs did and said when SPAM was on the EU agenda a couple of years ago ...
But I like spam...especially when served in the Python Caf as "Spam, spam, spam, spam amd spam"!
Yep the law is changing, it used to be you could send unsolicited information to people if the hadn't opted out, i.e. tick this box if you DO NOT WANT to recieve etc.... now you can only send info to people who have opted in i.e. Please tick this box if you WOULD kike to receive etc.... and I always like Spam, Spam egg and Spam... less boring!

QM don't cause a fuss dear, you can have my spam.
But, surely, as most of my spam, at least, comes from across the pond, I can't see what this or any government can do about it. I think the only people who CAN make a difference are the ISPs.

So true, worker. And I don't want my ISP to dictate rules so, rather put up with the spam. Don't want little hitlers everywhere. Bad enough we got AoL.
