personally I have no faith in many so called wonder pills, just cut out the junk in your diet is good enough

jubieanna, don't take it as read that "just because it's herbal it won't harm you". Some herbal and plant extracts are potent stuff, plant extract are often used in prescription drugs. For instance I've got raised cholesterol and with the medication I have, I can't take grapefruit juice. I do take a number of health food supplements and vitamins and you need to be careful that you don't take a combination that don't agree with anything else you eat - I don't know what the effective enzymes etc are in acai berries so I would go to your health food shop and find out a bit more before you start taking them. Some weight loss products just clear the fat out of your body and you are on the toilet all the time.
I would be cautious, especially if I was taking additional medication or have any health concerns, maybe she could have a word with her GP about taking the tablets.
