Hey all, could anyone help me with this, basically i am 26 and am now off to do 8 months volunteering work in South America but am at a bit of a loss when i get back. I would really like to get into social work and am planning to read up as much as i can on the subject while i am away. My main problem is that i don't have the grades to get into university although someone told me that i could do an open university 1 year course and that i could do this studying abroad. Is this correct? My other question is whether or not it is possible to do some sort of in house training and get into it that way? Many thanks to any answers ta.

Sorry, while the OU accepts relevant 'Access to Higher Education' (AHE) qualifications (instead of A-levels)for entry to its course, it doesn't provide the AHE courses itself. They're only available through the course providers listed on the drop-down menu here:
