If I make a big batch of curry (without rice) can i freeze it in portions and have it when my parents are eating something i don't like?

Also, with the different kinds of curry, are there certain things in some that you can't freeze such as lentils? If so, then i can make a curry without lentils or rice, and when I reheat it, i can boil so rice to go with it, so I don't poison myself.

So can the lentils be frozen aswell?
Yes.
well i make dahl and freeze that, and lentil soup have frozen that without any probs.

come on i'm waiting for the catch.... you don;t have a freezer?
i freeze leftover rice too. and all the other bits and pieces you have with a curry, like naan, samosas and bhajis. there are actually very few things which can't be frozen.
Not sure that I would freeze rice.....it would get too 'wet' and rice needs VERY THOROUGH re-heating as it is known to carry a particularly nasty bacterium....yes,yes-I know...I can hear all you lot saying re-heating has never bothered you..!
yes - I freeze curry, rice, chilli con carne, in individual portions. It is fine.
Curries and chilli are like stews...much better the second time around.
I find frozen curry loses it's taste & smells awful. 3day old curry tastes best as the spices blend, keep in fridge.
pasta, far from becoming 'wet', i find pre-cooked frozen rice becomes drier and needs a little water to help steam heat it in the micro.
i imagine the rice you buy from a take-away is more likely to be a problem regarding the nasty bacterium you're referring to. and yes, you're right, never had a problem with reheating frozen rice :)

That's why i then went on to ask for healthy, easy recipes.

There would be no point in asking for recipes then finding out I can't freeze it, i'm not making it fresh eevry time i CBA.
