Morning, not sure if anyone knows, but my daughter suffers with Behcets, and she normally has the flu jab every year, but now she has no immune system would it be safe for her to still have the jab or would it make her too ill, its no good asking her doc as they have never heard of the disease and her next hospital app is Nov which would be to late to ask as the jabs are given beginning of Oct, she was given a direct number to her specialist but she has mislaid it, not sure what to advise her to do, any help appreciated. Thank you.

There is something going on with your daughter she is not telling you i'm afraid. perhaps she dosen't WANT to call? and it's easier to tell you she can't get through. again, i am taking this way too seriously I just called QEQM myself, because i couldn't believe you can't get through to a human. You can. I don't think she is telling you the truth. It asked me what dept/ward i wanted and i didn't say anything so it said to me "i didn't hear you so i'll transfer you to an operator, upon which the phone rang about six times and there was a person there. It sounds like either she dosen't want to call, or she needs help with the phone
nah, i'm not stalking you i promise, just couldn't believe a hospital (who lets face it, must have all sorts of people ringing them) didn't have the facility to actually talk to someone.
You might need to consider WHY your daughter says she "couldn't get through" I don't mean this in a disrespectful way, but whenever my mum/husband start going on to me about my illness or finding out this or that i get really fed up, and more determoned not to do it.I get a bit stubborn even though i know it's silly. I also don't really ever want to investigate the illness, because i prefer to take one day at a time rather than worry about what may happen in the future. I wonder, from what you say whether you are overwhelming her a bit about it?

Ive had a word with her and she says will will do it tomorrow as she is busy at work today, i spose i do keep on at her but in a nice way, i just want the best for her of course but i dont want to overload her at the same time, lets just see what happens tomorrow, she is also waiting to hear if she has been accepted for DLA or not, she has had her medical and she was lucky to have an Indian man who knew exactly what the disease was all about and said how bad it was and he felt sorry for her to have it at such a young age, just hope she is granted it. xx
