I was prescribed this on Monday (twice daily with food). Not entirely sure it's working but it's only been a short time. Just wondered if anyone had experienced side effects from it?

Cheers.

probably sounds a silly q but have you tried taking full dose of paracetamol every day? Lots of people take 1 or 2 doses then think "that didn't work" and stop

I tried somthing similar, when my hip/leg first went and before I saw the consultant then, one of my docs had me taking ibuprofen daily for a week or so before I saw them as it had anti-inflamatory and when I have a bad flare up I will take paracetemol or ibu (or both on occasion) at the time of pain and then regularly for a day or two after until it's resolved. The heel thing has only become a real problem in the last month, otherwise my hip/leg was sort of stiff before with flare ups but not hurting all the time. I sound like a hyperchondirac, no specific symptoms.

Initially when I saw someone at the hospital it was in the fracture clinic and I think they must have been looking for an acute thing as at that point my leg/hip had just 'gone' randomly one day. I think now the GP is thinking it's possibly something else, arthritis runs in my family and I suspect that's what she's thinking. She wanted the consultant to do some blood tests as well but I don't know what that's for.
sorry i couldn't work out from your answer whether you have tried paracetamol for this pain?

Sorry, rambling! Yes is the short answer. When it first started I took it for quite a while, I only saw a doc after about a month of pain and I took paracetemol a lot and regularly in that time. It helped the pain but didn't make whatever the problem is better.
