When televised here in 1980's is was retitled 'Married'. In America what was the series called?

I thought it was that as well, but the series was called that over here as well. Thanks anyway.

The series was called "United States". It was retitled "Married" when it was shown on BBC1 in 1980, and starred Beau Bridges and Helen Shaver.

Wasn't it Christina Applegate who was the daughter in Married With Children?
