Im going to learn Spanish.

So I duly phoned the satellite unit from Perth College to enrol in the evening class for Beginners Spanish at a cost of £65.
I then discovered that due to my OWN personal income being less than £22k I would receive an annual grant of £200 funded by the Scottish Government towards the cost of learning something new. (ILA Scotland)

What a result.and a great initiative dont you think ;)

lol... those internet translators are appalling.

A guy once sent me a message in Spanish, using an internet translator. He wanted to say, "I bet you looking incredible in that dress."

Well... in English, the word for "bet" can also be the same for "stake".

So the message came back in Spanish saying, more or less, "Stake you look incredible in that dress."

And thats why people should stay away from internet translators. lol

Aww bu$$er! I knew I should have moved to Scotland instead of my OH moving down here. I'm about to find £2000 from somewhere to fund my study. Boooooooooooooooo!

I couldn't agree more! As a language graduate and a bit of a polyglot, on-line translators are utter garbage...

Hey Lore have to admit we are lucky with the funding we receive although I wasnt aware of it until I phoned to sign up for the course.Hope youre doing fine x

Good on your sil -i'm just doing night classes but hopefully I can even begin to make sense of Spanish.Ive found it a very difficult language to learn although ive never had a problem with learning the basics of others.Thats the idea anyway !
