I watched last nights England's match in HD, but the truth is I just couldn't see the difference.

I have a 32'' Sony TV with built in freeview and freesat, and I still cannot see any difference.

How can one tell unless one has two identical TVs side by side, one tuned to HD and the other not, so that one can compare the 2 pictures?

On my old TV some people who came to my home have said "that's a nice sharp clear picture" even though it wasn't even HD ready.

So you see it is just a matter of opinion.

I have a HD tv connected to a V+HD box with the proper cable. I can only see a difference when I sit close to the TV. Then again I am developing cataracts...lol. My son in law says there is a big difference.
