hey apparently to have a detox day is good for you is this right ? and if i wanted to detox what do i do and what should i eat nad drink and anyone know any good websites that could help me out XXXX

I warn you tho - detox can hurt!! I wasn't too bad but my boyfriend had crippling headaches for weeks after!! he went to the doctor who told him that was a result of the detox. - his body protesting at not having the "poisons" he'd become addicted too (caffeine, alcohol etc). We then read up on the blurb and sure enoughj, headaches was a side effect of a detox. But if you can stick with it its gotta be worth it.
I believe quite a few people have a detox day, and I'm sure our overworked western life-style bodies benefit from it. A popular method is to chose a day (possibly a Sunday) when you're not indulging in heavy physical activity,) and just eat fruit which contain lots of liquid, such as oranges, grapes, plums, nectarines, etc. (but not bananas). Also drink plenty of liqui (fruit juice or water).
This diet might leave you feeling a little light headed if you follow it for more than one day but it should help clear out your system. (And no smoking or alcohol of course).
