Detox Foot Pads

I bought some sticky pads that go on the soles of your feet for 3 consecutive nights to supposedly draw out toxins from the body as a detox. They are full of herbs (the pads not my feet!)

Has anyone tried these and benefitted from them?

Today I feel rather unwell. Is it because I am starting to detox, is it just my mind thinking the pads are working and they actually don't, or am I just unwell?

I think it is just as useless as reflexology which aims to diagnose body problems by looking at your feet. A detox is supposed to clear out your bowel and I don't think your foot is connected to your anus.
Oh blimey, people actually fall for this bunkom? Sorry Vanna no offence, but like kwicky has already said, how's sticking summet on ya feet suposed to detox ya body?

Maybe you're coming down with a cold and the foot things are purely coincidental.

Anyhows- wrap up, take loads of vitamin C and pray you don't feel like crap tomorrow...lol

Merry Christmas!
:-)
If you like you can buy a jar of fresh mountain air from me for 15.99 inc p+p, this works just as good as the detox pads ....;oP
Is there a cure for gullibility, :-)
Funny you should mention that Ratter, there is a cure, 22.99 per jar!
Hi

I've bought some of these too and i'm gonna use them after the festivities are over. I'll Subcribe to this thread and i'll get back to you in the new year !

Merry Christmas !
wrong on both counts there kwicky - neither reflexology or detox work in the way you suggest

I'd say a fair few of you have posted in the wrong thread and need the 'how impressed am I by my own sarky comment?' thread.

As far as I am aware, the body works as a whole and does not have parts sectioned off from other bits so in some way everything is connected.

I guess as you didn't know the answer, maybe you shouldn't bother posting at all? Concentrate your comments elsewhere in the non-funny patronising section.

My thanks to those who did answer my comments genuinely.
Sorry that everyone has been so sarcastic - but the truth is that the pads don't work. There is no scientific proof for it, I'm afraid. I'm a beauty journalist and studies have been done on the pads and the discolouration on them after use is just due to the salts in your sweat - not any so-called toxins that are being drawn out. Detoxing in general is a bit of a myth - there is no harm in getting healthy (eating lots of fresh veg and exercising) but the fact is that the body is designed to cope with an awful lot and your liver and kidneys are the most incredible detoxers imaginable. Chances are you've just coincidentally caught a bit of a bug - hope you feel better soon.
like i said, wrong.

reflexology is a treatment not a diagnostic tool

Well if you believe in that you will believe in anything. As Ratter and others have said it depends on how gullible you are. Treatment or diagnosis..its all a load of cr?p.
