4 Typhoon Eurofighter strike jets of the Spanish Air Force have just thundered over the villa, peeled off and landed at the Airport 2 kilometres way.

Fantastic sight.

Not as fantastic as the "Red Arrows" though..............;-)

The Eurofighter is fantastic!!! You are right about the Arrows. I used to see them regularly when I lived in Lincolnshire (and they displayed at my wedding bless em!).

But you can't beat BBMF for sheer "lump in the throat" nostalgia. The sound of those engines is unmistakeable.

I also rather like the Grace Spitfire. Nice to see a woman doing her bit!

1953..was out with a girlfiend on bicycles when we were surrounded by 40-50 R.A.F Regiment personnel with rifles at the ready, questioned and turned back the way we came.

Vulcan from RAF Wittering had crashed and it was still on the secret list.

I grew up in the shadow of RAF Wittering Sqad. Although by then it was the harrier rather than the vulcan.

Don't bother thanks sqad, even these yellow ones come in too low and terrify me, once I fell on my knees as it approached!! Did you know that they are allowed to fill from private swimming pools? luckily mine's too small!!!!

Hi barmaid my ex was stationed at wittering,i remember the harrier jump jets,used to scare the s.h.i.t.e out of me when i was hanging out the washing,where did you live?
