Was I charged a reasonable price for service and repair?

I had my car repaired at a local garage recently and want to know if the price I was charged is reasonable. I know nothing about cars and have always used a cousin's garage for repairs but have since moved away.

The cost was £320 (inc VAT) for completing an annual (major) service and supplying and fitting 4 replacement brake lines and 1 replacement brake pad, all on a Ford Puma 1.7ltr.

Everything else about the garage seems good and I like to support local independent businesses so as long as the price was not overly excessive then I will continue using them.

Hard to say, but it's the sort of price I paid a few months back for the service on my Sirion, at the local dealership.
who fits 1 brake pad -you sure it wasnt 1 brake line & four pads,

my boy has just had to pay £900 for a new ecu & a couple of sensors & it took 2 1/2 weeks to complete, plus £70 to tow it to the garage 1 mile away max,
you got away OK.

about right for a major service
If you had taken it to a Ford dealer you would have paid twice that amount, having said that my local garage would have charged me about half that price for my Nissan Terrano, but I have used him for years.
You have been charged a reasonable price Molynda, & as said, they will have replaced 2 brake pads, Garages Never replace one but always as a set.
Sounds about right.
Yes that seems very reasonable, sounds like a good garage.
i just charged £251.00 on a oil & filter change + front & rear pads on a vivaro ..
