A half inch piece of wood was left in my leg. I have had seaweed type dressings on it from the surgery for the last few weeks which drew it out (fortunately). I pulled it out in the end and as it emerged it looked like something gruesome out of Dr Who!! It just kept on coming. It was imbedded quite deeply. Antibiotics have taken care of any infection.

Thought you might be be interested!

I love headwreck's post "I didn't want to bring it up in a forum"... sounds like lottie's doing the can-can!

Headwreck, I am always falling over. I have dodgy hips and they give way, I also have one leg that drags a bit because of my hips which causes me to trip. I should be more careful, but I get carried away!!

Now your avatar makes me think McMouse. I could wear one of those and nothing else and not a sole would know, and then I wouldn't have to worry about hair or makeup. Mmmmmm good idea.

I think there are quite a few people like us headwreck. Black feet that have to be scrubbed at bedtime.

I have a neighbour that would think I was dreadful. She is up fully washed and dressed before the day has barely begun. She would never dream of spending the day in her nightie!! I hide if she comes calling (which fortunately isn't very often. She is quite a way away.

I would not do the can can in my nighty with no knicks on!! Well, I might.......................................
Hi Lottie - that leg sounds nasty - I hope you will consider renewing the old garden canes and get the little rubber tops for them. As a kid I cut my neck open on the same - just like a deep channel. My mum rolled the skin back over it, covered it with germolene and then put a bandage around my neck (no comments please). I carry the scar to this day - one of many!

Sorry ttft, you have made me giggle. (By the way we have had to let the new four legged friend go. She terrorised my other little dog who was so much smaller. Molly was absolutely wonderful and we felt gutted, but she was very possessive and wouldn't let Meggie in the house and then she actually tried to attack her. However, she has a nice new home now on a smallholding - but is apparently frightened of the pigs!!)

Don't see why Headwreck, it belongs in this section. It's all about bodies ;o)

what is this ritual about washing the feet, Lottie.... I never wear shoes, my poor old feet look like a caveman's. The only time I am sorry I am barefoot is if I stand on a slug....
Poor little meggie - you had no choice Lottie. Some pigs are a size mind! Feel free to giggle at my H&S record - it is what most folk do, myself included - even when I am not trying to be humurous!
