msn chat history

Someone gave me their number on msn but I didn't have my phone at hand, so I went back to her and tshe's now offline, but it won't let me click on chat history to find what they typed. I'm going to their house but it's hard to find apparantly so having their number would be useful if I get lost.

The option of view chat hsitory is there, but it's light grey and I can't click it!

So you've not got chat logging enabled.

open MSN > tools >options > messages and enable save history

(of course this isn't going to help you with chats you've already had)

Is message history saving enabled in your options? Most people turn this off as it's so potentially dangerous to leave it on...

UUmmm, I used to have it on, but I hadn't been on for ages, my friend talked to me on facebook chat but it was going dodgey so asked me to talk to her on msn, which made me update it as I ahdn't been on for months, then we talked and i thought it would still save it . . .
