I'm 17 and work part time at WHSmiths. I've been working there for a year and I still haven't come off the trainee wage. I can't check my rights in my contract because I don't have one! What can I do about this? I have spoken to my manager and he says he doesn't think I am qualified to go onto a higher wage. Also, is there a minimum wage for under-18s?

the minimum wage rate for under 18 is as stated 3.00 per hour. You can be paid more, convince your manager you are worth it, good luck
